Learn More About Attention Deficit Disorder Symptoms

Attention deficit disorder is a self explanatory condition that people of all ages are afflicted with all over the world. Also called attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, it is classified as a neurobehavioral developmental disorder, which more commonly than not, affects up to 5% of the children. Unlike autism or any other early brain disorder, the symptoms that are associated with ADHD are often seen in children within the age range of 5 – 9 years old, with the more common symptoms cropping up when they are seven years old. Also, a phenomenon with ADHD is that it crops up twice as likely in boys as it does in girls.

The most common of the symptoms associated with ADHD are impulsiveness, which means that they act purely on impulse with no thought for their actions what so ever. They have also scattered thoughts, organisation of their critical faculties as well as the tendency to interrupt people or even themselves during conversation. ! This is characteristic of a nerve of emotions and impulses, a sort of overriding of their conscious mental faculties of critical thought, rationale appraisal and the normal defences of awareness. There is also a tendency for people with ADHD with hyperactivity, with an extreme restlessness, extremely uneasy all the time.
